Yangzhou Highway, Railway and Waterway Joint Transportation Logistics Agglomeration Zone was founded in March, 2007. Since founded, the Zone has adhered to high starting point planning, high level construction and high efficiency service. The infrastructure facilities are becoming more and more perfect, the industrial agglomeration is speeding up, and the quality of development is being significantly improved. The Zone has been awarded ‘Key Logistics Base of Jiangsu Province’,Yangzhou Modern Service Industry Agglomeration Zone’, and ‘Yangzhou Logistics Demonstration Park’. In January, 2013, partial adjustment of administrative divisions were carried out in Yangzhou. 2 villages, namely Huangjin Village and Wayao Village, and 2 communities, namely Anping Community and Zhuxi Community, which previously belonged to Chengbei County, were put under the administration of the Zone. In December, 2013, the municipal government of Yangzhou decided to set up Zhuxi Neighborhood in Yangzhou Highway, Railway and Waterway Joint Transportation Logistics Agglomeration Zone. In February, 2014, Zhuxi Neighborhood was formally established. Yangzhou Highway, Railway and Waterway Joint Transportation Logistics Agglomeration Zone has changed from a specialized logistics area to an urban new Zone, with total area 9k㎡ and nearly 100 thousand people to live in. In 2013, the service sector turnover of the Zone was 4.56 billion yuan, with an increasement of 26.67% compared to last year; the output value of industrial enterprises with annual revenue of 20 million yuan or more was 1.879 billion yuan, with an increasement of 19% compared to last year; the industrial electricity consumption was 164310 thousand KWh, with an increasement of 29.16% compared to last year; the foreign capital agreement was 39800 thousand dollars and the foreign capital received was 26300 thousand dollars, with an increasement 119% compared to last year; the registered civil capital was 0.61 billion yuan, with an increasement of 52.5% compared to last year; the tax revenue was 0.48 billion yuan, doubling the amount of 2012.
The east part of the new Zone is connected to the Bejing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, and is opposite to Zhuyuwan Park, the regional ecological center. The south part of the Zone is connected to the ancient canal and the ancient Hangou, which have thousands’ years’ of history. The west part of the Zone is connected to Shugang-Slender West Lake Scenic Area, the world class park being built. The north is connected to the well-known Shaobo Lake. Within the Zone, there are Tai Wang Temple and Zhuxi Park. The unique geographical advantages, resources advantages, cultural advantages and ecological advantages lay a solid foundation for the innovation and transformation of the park and provide rare opportunities and vast space.
