Introduction of district:With a rich history of over 100 years of aviation innovation and as part of the Northern Powerhouse, the Lancashire Enterprise Zone will be home to the BAE Systems Training Academy, which will inspire a new generation of innovative manufacturers, technologists and engineers. Construction of the Academy is currently underway on the Samlesbury site with completion due Autumn 2016. A Defence Logistics facility is also under construction at the Samlesbury site and 2 new tenants moved onto the Warton EZ site in 2015.
